Four years ago today....

Pin It we found out I was pregnant!  It was the happiest day and the scariest day imaginable!  After trying for almost 3 years and then deciding that we would just not have any and we would just get our old vehicles we both wanted and fix them up then Bam!  I'm pregnant!!   Once I took the test the lines just came up instantly!!  I was so shocked!  Finally!!  So happy and then scared and then upset but only because I had just lost 60lbs.  Yeah I was being selfish on that part.  lol  Called my supervisor in tears and I told him I wouldn't be coming in that day, he asked why and I told him.  He said why do you sound upset, this is what you have wanted for so long?  It wasn't that I was upset it was just that I was so happy but also so scared.  Already wondering if I would be a good mother or not.
The pregnancy was pretty uneventful though.  Didn't really have morning sickness just certain things would make me sick to my stomoach but never really got sick.  Did have some spotting throughout the pregnancy, placenta was detached some but nothing to worry about the Dr. said and fell off the steps to the shop once, but she was alright.  Other than that it was a pretty normal pregnancy and I loved feeling her move inside me.  That was the best part of the pregnancy!!
Once our due date came along the Dr. went ahead and scheduled use to be induced, he was going to be gone on vacation, so we went in and got that all rolling but it never worked.  Went home the net day still only dilated at 3 cm.  Then on Sat.  I started feeling sick to my stomach and having little cramps but nothing I thought was actual labor.  When it didn't go away and I was still feeling like I was going to be sick I went ahead and called them and told them my symptoms.  They told me to come on in.  I was so nervous!!  Got there and they checked us, and my blood pressure was very high! (didn't have problems with that through the pregnancy) Blood pressure was so high they didn't even tell me what it was.  Maddie's heart rate was also elevated so they decided to do an emergency C-section.  That's when everything started going so fast, they were pushing meds into me, which started making me drowsy, and getting me hooked up to go in.  Epi went well but with that and the other meds all I was doing was going in and out and throwing up.  Not the way I imagined my labor to go.  I wanted to be able to remember it!  The only thing I really remember is Shane telling me she was out, and I just said, "She's not crying?  Why isn't she crying?"  She was fine just took her a bit.  They said the meds that were making me drowsy were also effecting her.  Once she started crying I was so relieved.  I barely remember them putting her on my chest and then I was out!  Don't even remember getting sewed up and sent to the room.  At least Shane can remember it all!  lol   It was a wonderful blurry day!!  :)  So glad we finally got her!
