What my hands feel like

I have been crocheting pretty much all day long since Monday.  My poor hands are getting the “monkey claw”!  My hands and arms are so sore from crocheting but it is for an amazing cause so that is all that matters!  I am making a blanket for my friend Misty.  She is a great friend to my cousin Stacie and helps her out with doing fundraisers.  Stacie's family and many of her friends and family do a lot of fundraisers in memory of her son Cash.  The Cash Crusader’s Relay for Life Team are always doing great fundraisers to help out the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.  Check them both out!
So I am making another granny square blanket and have been working so hard on it.  I have until April 2nd, well that’s when the fundraiser is, and I just don’t want to disappoint anyone and not get it done on time.  I am so thankful I still have a month to do it but as we all know that month will go quickly!
So… I will be on and off the blogging world until I get it done.  Actually it’s been kinda nice not being on the computer so much but I have missed out on some great posts from my bloggy friends.  Hopefully you will all forgive me! 
This is what I have been staring at lately…. (and my Kindle!  Love that thing and love that I can crochet and read!)

and then of course, I had to take a break and get my hair and makeup done!

Finally I am finished!!!  It turned out pretty cute but it seemed like it took me forever to get it done.  It only took about 3 weeks to get it done though so that’s not bad.   Maddie really loves it!  Think I do too!

I have been making some granny squares for the past couple of weeks since I was snowed in…

I made about 37 so far and need to make some more to finish it up.  I was gonna make it big enough for me but now I think Mad will end up getting it and I will work on a different one for me.

She really does love it and has already been using it even though it is not finished.  Here is what it looks like so far!  Don’t think it came out too bad for my first one!

Well since we were snowed in for most of last week, and looking like we are getting more tonight, I started working on some granny squares.  They turned out pretty cute and are really easy to do.  I found the pattern over at Attic 24, so hop on over and check it out!  Happy crocheting!

I am adding white around all of them for when I put them together..

oh and I am having to try a new linky tool so we'll see how that goes....

Cabin Fever!

I haven’t left this house since Monday morning when I took Mad for her Wellness Check!  I am getting a little cabin fever!!  Normally when I get like this we go to the library or we can at least take a walk but I really don’t want to walk when it is 18 degrees out or with all this ice and snow and I really don’t want to have Mad out in this too long.  I am praying that we will be able to go out tomorrow so we can get some more groceries and some household things we need!  Plus I just want out!!

So since I haven’t been out, I have been making some little granny squares.  I have a few done but still need to make a lot more for the blanket.  I think I am going to add a neutral color around them all to tie it all together so it won’t be too busy..  still not sure on that yet. 

Here’s some more pictures for everyone.. wish I would have taken pics of her helping make the Who Bread and pizza the other day but didn’t think about it and my hands were a little messy.

Taken from the backyard.  Downtown Guthrie, about 2 miles away  came out fairly well..

This is what I have been doing…. I will be adding another round, a neutral color and then putting them all together.  I think…

Mad has really liked helping me pick the colors.  Just using partial skeins I already had but didn’t know what I was going to do with.

Oh and the ones that look black, it’s a very dark purple.
