Mad Stories

Pin It My wild and crazy child has been coming up with some great sayings and stories lately.  These are going to be just quick little random ones as I can think of them since there are so many but I just forget to write them down.

A friend of mine and her husband and kids came over on the 4th of July weekend and had a cookout.  Mad was just telling me again about it...
"I like Maynard, I talked to him.  Remember when you were outside and Daddy was outside?  I was a little nervous but I talked to Maynard"  It was so funny.  When we were outside cooking, Maynard came in to get something to drink and Mad decided to come in too.  She asked him for a drink so he got her one and then she was telling him all about how she doesn't like flies because they poop on stuff and some other bugs are mean because they bite but butterflies are nice because they don't bite.  lol

She is still talking about Vaughn and how much she misses him.  Anytime we talk to someone that hasn't heard about it Maddie will tell them all about it.  Now though she says it like this...
"I had a cat.  His name was Vaughn.  He passed out and is with God now.  I miss him and want him back.  It's OK though, I don't cry anymore"  When we say our prayers at night there are some nights when I ask her if there is anything else she wants to tell God or ask Him and she will say, "Yeah, I want Vaughn back"  So sad but like she said at least she isn't crying anymore.

Shane has a poster in his office of Dale Earnhardt.  He has explained to her that he was Daddy's favorite driver and he is Junior's daddy.  She asked where he was and  Shane told her he wrecked when he was racing and died.  She asked Shane if Junior was scared to race now since his daddy died racing.  It is amazing the things that she actually remembers.

I know there are so many more I am forgetting so there might be some other posts later on with them.  The older I get the more I keep forgetting them.  Not good!!!

This isn't really a story but a great step.   She has been taking showers on her own lately, I still have to help with her hair but she will wash and rinse everything else and now she can even turn the water off all by herself.  As she says, "Because I am growing big!"  Yes she is!!!!

OH, OH, OH!!  She is the biggest NARC around too!!  Especially if it has been a bad day when Shane gets home from work she will tell him, "Mommy yelled at me"  "Mommy gave me a timeout!"  "Mommy sent me to my room"  "Mommy ate your cheese"  "Mommy ran a stop sign" (yes that happened Sunday, thank God no one was around, but if she would stop yapping and trying to get me to pick up stuff for her or look at her while I am driving then that wouldn't happen!!)
"Mommy threw an onion ring at me!"  This one was another driving story.  Coming back from church one Sunday, an hour drive, we had stopped and gotten something to drink and snacks.  She chose some M&M's and I got some Funyuns.  She finished off her M&M's and was asking for some of my chips.  For some reason she talks so quiet in the van and it is so hard to hear her even with the radio off.  I finally figured out what she was saying and told her she needed to speak up when we were in the van and I was also mean and told her they were mine.  She kept whining so instead of trying to reach back and find her I just threw it at her!  Yeah, not one of my best moments....  so as soon as we get home that is the first thing she told her daddy!  What a tattle tale!!!!

Also wanted to say Happy Birthday to my grandma.  She doesn't have internet but just wanted to share these pictures anyways...

Love her!!!!  Grandma LaVona and me
