What a busy week!

Pin It This week has been so busy!  I am having an Arbonne party for a friend of mine today so I have been trying to clean the house all week long.  As soon as I have something clean little Ms. Mad destroys it again so I've been trying to deal with that this week.  I keep telling her she is old enough to know that she needs to put her stuff up she is done with it.  She used to tell me she didn't know how and I always told her if she can take it out then she can put it away!  (yeah, I had flash back from my mom telling me that after saying that!)  Now she just tells me she doesn't want to!  I just come back with well, I don't want to either, and daddy doesn't want to go to work but we have to.  We need to try to help each other out so we need to pick up our stuff... yeah, not going over to well.  Already has the attitude of a teenager!

She is also still so upset because I won't let her watch cartoons all the time.  I told her she didn't need to be watching TV all day long, which I have been guilty of leaving it on and just going about the daily stuff and letting her do watch or color or whatever.  Half the time she isn't even in there watching it but she would freak out when I turned it off!  So for the past few weeks I have been turning it off around lunch time and the rest of the day having it off.  She's not liking that too well but she'll get over it.  I'm loving it!

We've been doing some crafts and reading more then usual now too.  I keep telling her this is better for her.  I found some great sites for her too!  You will have to hop over to my other blog and check that out  for the links.  Some really cute Christian sites for her.

I haven't felt much like blogging lately either because nothing much new has been going on.  Made those pumpkins the other day but nothing much else special, just coloring and things like that.  Maddie hasn't done anything wild and crazy lately besides trying to be the parent instead of me being the parent.  Just dealing with that right now and the other normal things that everyone else has been going through, you know the boring old stuff.... cleaning, laundry, trying not to yell at the child, trying to go to the bathroom on my own, trying to find time to read or just to breathe or have a melt down.  Normal stuff!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!!

Here's a couple pics of her on Friday..
nice red teeth from some gummy spiders.. yeah, like she really needed the extra sugar!  and no she didn't have the whole bag today!  lol  That killed her!  It has lasted 4 days!  So proud!

Oh and this is the sign I need to hang on the front door.  Because as you can see by the picture above, the house is clean... but won't be for long!

(can you believe they want $22 for that sign!?!  I can make that for a lot cheaper!)

One thing we started doing a while back was a chore chart for the week. He gets check marks for doing things like picking up toys, putting his dirty clothes in the hamper, dirty clothes in the sink, etc. At the end of the week, he gets a little allowance (up to $1) in his bank for his cumulative chores. Then from time to time, we'll take the allowance to the book store or dollar store where he can make a purchase. It works really, really well.
