Well things have been going pretty well lately.  Maddie turned 6 on the 6th of January.  I can’t believe how much she has grown and how the time has flown by!!

We’ve rediscovered Shrinky Dinks, which now also go by Shrink Plastic.  On Pinterest you can find anything and everything to do with them now!  There is so many creative ideas and some pretty jewelry you can make with them.  Right now we have just been practicing.  Here are a few of the ones we have made so far.  The tree has glossy effects on it so it looks cloudy but will dry clear.  Will try to remember to get a picture of that once I make it into a necklace.  (sorry for the poor quality cell phone pics, you can click for a bigger pic)

We were at Wal-Mart the other day and my loving husband found this cute dolphin for Maddie.  Shane asked her if she wanted it and of course she said yes.  We finished coloring it up and Shane and Maddie put it together.  It’s pretty cool but is so big!  She loves it of course.

Mad’s been creating things of her own too.  She found some material we got a while back and decided to make a pillow out of it.  She did a pretty good job hand stitching it, but she did get tired of doing it and had me finish it with the machine.  She stuffed it and Shane hand stitched the hole shut.  So it is a pillow made of much love from all 3 of us!  She loves that we all had a part in helping her make it.

On the 24th Maddie didn’t feel well.  She had a temp and upset stomach but nothing much more than that.  She never really complained about her throat hurting until Friday.  I decided to take a look and immediately decided we needed to go to the After Care clinic.  She had strep.  She was such a trooper and never complained about her throat hurting that much.. was so proud!  They didn’t have to do the swab test because she had it so bad and could tell just by looking.  They called in some meds and off we went!  Love the After Care Clinic!  We were only there for maybe 15 minutes!  Anytime Maddie talked to a grandparent she told them she had the ‘stress’ and strawberry tongue.  (strawberry tongue is also a sign of strep. Look closely at her tongue, it is speckled like a strawberry)

So.. since the 100 day of school was coming up, while we were waiting to get her meds from Walgreens she saw some cute little Valentine sticker books, they were 2/$1.00 so we had to get 4 of them.  Smile  We got a poster there and once we got home and settled in we decided to go ahead and make her poster for school.  Today is the day!  100 days of school already!!  WOW!  Time sure flies!!

I really need to make her a 100 day shirt.  We never celebrated this in school but seems like it is now a big thing.  lol

Today, for her 100th day of school.  Red heart

And that’s about it for now.  Thinking I will be making a trip to the clinic soon since it seems like she just might have shared her ‘stress’ with me!  Confused smile

You always have the most cleverest blog.. So busy..
My grandson celebrated 100 days at his Kindergarten class and they all dressed up like they were old.. All the kids looked so cute.. Ben put a pillow under his shirt to be fat like Grandpa Dave. We took the lenses out of Grandpa's old glasses and he wore those.
Have a tiggeriffic week-end.. ta ta for now from Iowa:)
