Yesterday we were heading off to the library for Story Time and I was trying to get stuff ready, finding books, keys... etc. and Maddie said, "hurry up, let's go!" I said, "excuse me little girl?" she said, "I am not a little girl, I am a princess!" Alright then.... so I told her, "Well the princess doesn't get to tell the Queen what to do" She looked at me all funny and asked who the queen was. I just told her since she was the princess and I was her mom then that made me the queen. The princess had to listen to the queen. So for the rest of the day whenever I asked her something or told her anything she would call me 'queen'. It was so funny!!
A while back I got a little coin purse from ArtsCow that I designed, on one side it says 'I am not Ashamed' from Romans 1:16 and then on the other side it says 'For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.' Jeremiah 29:11
I have it on my key chain and love it. I am always kind of wanting to show it off and see if anyone asks and just want to show that I AM not ashamed. I asked God if this was something that was good, if I was doing it to be good and show that I love Him and am proud to call Him my Father or if I should just kind of tone it down a bit.... well when I got home from Story Time I checked my email and got my verse of the day from Air1 and this is what it was....
"Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if someone asks about your Christian hope, always be ready to explain it."

Well I laughed out loud when I read it and said, "Alright God I get it!" Maddie asked what I was laughing at and I said God. She said, 'what? how?' I told her that sometimes you can talk to God or prayer and ask Him a question and sometimes a small voice in your head/heart with talk back or He will send you something to show you. She just said, "Oh, ok" lol Anyways... I get it! I should not be ashamed and just let it shine!!!
