My lil’ angel

Since Maddie was born we have made little paper angels to hang on the tree.  We trace her foot for the body and her hands for the wings.  We then find a decent sized picture of her and cut her head out and glue it on to it.  They are so cute and I love to look out how much she has grown from each year.

She was born in January so we have 5 of them.  I wish I would have done one when she was first born but I hadn’t found the idea then.  So each one is right before her birthday.. the first being right before her first birthday.  She sure has grown!!

I’m crazy but not that crazy….

Well we did have a great Thanksgiving yesterday, spent some time with family and got our tummies stuffed!  We looked through all of the ads but you know, I didn’t really see anything that we needed.  There are a few things on an all day sale today that I might check out but that was just a little gift for my niece, new pajamas and a hoodie for Mad.  I’m crazy but not crazy enough to go out that early in the morning to stand in line and to fight all those people!  I am thankful that we already got most of our stuff done for this year plus most of Mad’s Birthday stuff too which is only a week after Christmas.  So, besides me finding something for hubby we are basically done!  Done enough to not have to deal with all the crazies!!

Oh… if you are one of the crazies going out, have a great time!!  I don’t like crowds so more power to ya!  Smile

Christmas Time

Pin It We had a pretty nice Christmas this year.  Maddie was so excited about opening up all her presents.  We went to my mom's for Christmas Eve afternoon and then that evening we went to the inlaw's house.  We packed a bag too since the weather was really bad so that if we had to stay we would have something to change into.  The winds were blowing 50 mph and the roads were awful.  Big snow drifts on the highways and tons of pile ups on the interstate.  An hour drive took us almost 2 hours.  No fun!
Shane & I didn't do much for each other this year but that is fine.  Just seeing Maddie opening all of her stuff and the excitement in her eyes when she got what she had wanted.  So sweet!!  Nothing like seeing things through the eyes of a child!

Love how patiently she is sitting waiting on opening gifts.

Maddie & Shane at Betty & Glenn's

Here fav gift she got from Santa

Her cousin Lane was so sweet to have a tea party with Maddie. :)

Maddie also got a little saucer from G'ma Betty.  We def had enough snow to go out and play.  She had a blast even though the pics look like she is scared to death.  lol  She was laughing and begging for more!

The snow was just crumbling instead of sticking together.  It was pretty challenging trying to make a snowman.  lol  She had a great time out in it though and loved making her snow angels too!

More pictures on her site.

Been so busy lately so I haven't been on here much, plus my computer was getting worked on.  My dad just called me today and told me that his PET scan came back normal!!!  Everything is gone!  So happy!!  What a VERY Merry Christmas this is!!  God is great and prayers do get answered!
Also my cousin's 1 year old son had his brain surgery a couple weeks ago and they removed the tumor and it was dead!!!  DEAD!!  His teatments are working for him too!!  He is still doing chemo right now though and they will prob be in the hospital doing inpatient treatment during Christmas but that is a small price to pay to actually have him her for Christmas!  The year started out very crappy and is now getting better.  Let's hope 2010 will be a better one for both of them!!

Maddie is so ready for Christmas and is wanting to open the presents we have under the tree for everyone else. lol  She is so funny and tells us we are on the naughty list when we won't let her do something she wants too.  Says, "You're on the naughty list, no presents for you!"  How funny!!
We are gonna start cutting out and baking the sugar cookies and ginger bread cookies tomorrow so she will be excited!  I am too but not so much about all the clean up that will be involved.  I am hoping to take some more pictures of her decorating them.  She loves frosting them and has to add sprinkles to them all!
I hope everyone has a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!
