Well, it’s been about a week since my last post.  We were just getting back into the swing of things after coming off of spring break.  Maddie of course didn’t really want to go back to school. 

She is so excited about the weekend though!  She gets to spend the weekend with her grammies and she will be so surprised that Grammy Bev will be there to pick her up from school.  Usually the grammies come later on in the evening to pick her up but my mom has Friday off so she is going to surprise Maddie and be the one there to pick her up!  I’ll be there too, off to the side, but I can’t wait to see her face!!

Shane and I will be heading to Tulsa on Saturday to check out the Wanenmacher’s Tulsa Gun show.  It is supposed to be the worlds largest gun show!  Can’t wait to go and see everything!!  Of course there is no way we will be able to see everything.  (yes I am a gun lover.  I have been holding back and not posting about it but you might see a few posts here and there about some stuff I find and like)

So, not only is Maddie excited about the weekend I am too!  Plus since mom is coming so early tomorrow then I get to spend some time with her too.  Maddie doesn’t know it but we are going to go have a picnic in the park too!  She’ll love it!

This week has been a pretty great week!  Nice, calm and peaceful week that I am loving! The only drama from this week has been the fact that the trash men came early and I didn’t get the trash out.   It’s not too full though and I threw Mad in the trash can to stomp it down and make room for this weeks trash.   She loved it!  She remembers doing this one other time last year! 

Last Friday I made up some more Apple Nachos for Maddie and she took a bite and yelled, ‘Ow!’ and then started crying.  I told her to stop yelling and asked what happened.. well, she has a loose tooth already!!  (It’s her bottom left one) And the new one is coming in behind it already too!  Wow!  She just turned 5 in January, can’t believe she is already losing her teeth!
Yesterday I was looking at it, it’s getting pretty loose, and I decided to check the one right next to it.   That one is starting to get loose too!  She’ll have that one out pretty soon too!  How cute!  Her little bottom teeth look like kitty teeth! 


She is so excited for the tooth fairy to show up.  She told me a while back ‘that if the tooth fairy doesn’t have money then she just leaves a present for her instead, like something I’ve really been wanting’  Hmm… think she is asking for something special!  I told her yeah, but it takes money for those ‘gifts’ too!  Oh… well, I don’t care, as long as I get something!!  Smart girl!

Saturday we had a good day too!  Cooked out with some friends, and got to shoot some too.  When we came home it was just Maddie and I so she got to get a facial.  Here’s some pictures of her! 

This week at school they are celebrating Dr. Suess’ Birthday so

Monday was Crazy Sock Day and she had to wear 2 different shoes too!

Today is picture day so they aren’t dressing up.  Forgot to get a picture of her before school but will add it when she gets home. (well still forgot to take a pic so here's one with the same dress)

Tomorrow will be Pajama Day!  And she gets to take a stuffed animal to school too.  She is so excited!  Oh, and The Cat in the Hat is supposed to come visit them at school too!!  She can’t wait!!

Rambling Thursday

I was looking back at some of my posts and realized that I haven’t done a Rambling Thursday in a few years.  Maybe I need to start it back up.

Well to start off with, and most of you know it by now, I changed my website address.  After having it the same for a little over 2 years I just decided to change it.. Lost all my feedburner followers and my linkedwithin doesn’t work now but other than that I think everything is the same.  Also playing around with the header a bit.  I love having it the same, for the obvious reason, but sometimes I just want something a little different.

Maddie is doing pretty good.  Nothing much new is going on with her other than the fact that she is growing up too fast.  Oh.. and she is being a little demanding on how we play.  It’s kind of cute and funny, for the first 30 min and then it gets a little annoying. 

Maddie is still loving school too.  We usually get there about 8a when the teacher opens up her classroom and lets everyone in but here lately she wants to go so early.  Instead of us sitting by the office and waiting like we have before, she now wants to go to the gym.  We tried that before and she would just cry and run after me but now she loves it.  (She’s informed me that the reason she cried before was because she was only 4 but now she is 5 so she doesn’t cry. )  She has been going up there for the past couple weeks now, which has been so nice but weird at the same time.  It’s weird not seeing the teacher in the morning in case I have something to tell her or to give her Mads dollar for Friday’s Capri Sun and Popcorn day.  Maddie is doing well though so that’s all that matters.

At home she is def. going through some early teenage moments.  I thought I had at least another 7 –8 years before I had to deal with that but noooooo….. she’s breaking me in now.  She can be the sweetest thing and then the next thing you know she has the nastiest attitude and says some really crazy and mean stuff.  And she fights like crazy about cleaning her room, even when it isn’t that dirty and just needs picked up.  It is so hard not to laugh at her sometimes.  We are working on that.. hoping to get it stopped before we kill each other!!

Rambling Thursday

Not much has been going on this week.. which I guess that should be a good thing!  Shane had last week off and also Monday off so we just stayed around the house on Monday not doing much.  It was so nice having him home last week! 

On Saturday we had the 1st Annual Gold Ribbon ride.  It went really well, great turn out and there was a lot of toys for the kiddos at OU Medical Center.

Maddie had a great time at story time on Wed.  She had to wear her princess dress again.  Some days it's just not worth the fight and since the library is all about being fun and imaginative I usually don't fight about what she wears there.  They read some really good books about animals and going to the zoo so the craft they made was a giraffe.  It turned out pretty cute!  Here are some pictures for everyone, especially the grammy's since they have been wondering what she made today.  =)  Hope everyone's week has been a great and blessed one so far!

Wow, my daughter is a total nut bag!!  =)   She had been going non stop all week long and just been so silly and weird!  The other day we were in Walgreens and she told me that her butt itched and the next thing I know she is on the floor scooting around scratching her butt!!  Had to hurry up and get her to the bathroom before everyone else saw her!!
Then this morning she told me the same thing, I just said, 'well go get a wipe and clean it!' I look over and she has her nightgown pulled up, no stinking undies on, and is rubbing her butt up and down on the door frame!!!! UGH!!  Had to go get her to clean herself while I cleaned the door frame. (not like she had poop all over but you know how a 3 year old can still have a nasty stinky butt!) I did laugh my butt off first!  Too bad I didn't get a picture of that, it would have came in handy as bribe material when she is a teenager!!!  ;)

We were getting ready to go to the library today and she came out of her room and said she was ready, this is what she had on....

Then she added the belt and had to go show our friend that gave us the batman outfit.  lol

She told me she was 'Bad Girl' not Bat Girl but Bad Girl!  You never know what she will come out of her room wearing!  She's gonna have a melt down once she has to go to school because she will be so used to being able to wear whatever she wants to!

She is going to be gone the rest of the week too.  She is going to go with her Aunt, Uncle and cousin to Iowa to see her Great Grandma and G. Aunt & Uncle's.  We went last year but weren't going to make it this year and since K & T were going this week she is going to go with them.  This will be the first time she has been away from us for this long.  The longest is usually Friday afternoon and Sat and we get her on Sun.  I hope she does well for them because it's not like we will be able to just come and get her!

She is really excited about it though so I think that she will do really well!  Don't think I will miss her much until Sat, then I will want her back!  It will be too quiet without her.  At least I will be able to get the house clean and it will actually stay clean for a few days!  That will be nice!!

Rambling Thursday

Well, been staying with my mom for the past few days just so I could try to help them out some and to also visit with my aunt who was also here to visit.  My mom had a total knee replacement last week but she is doing fairly well.  Still really swollen and bruised all the way to her toes!  That's not pretty.  Other than that she is doing pretty well...  Here are some pictures of the past few days.  Maddie has really enjoyed playing with her cousin that came down with my aunt too.
