Crafty Tuesday is a day to show off your creative side!  Either with sewing, crafts, or something you have found and want to share.  So feel free to hop on in and join!!

This Tuesday we did something a little different. 

It's called Need and Want

Been trying to teach Maddie the difference between what she really needs and what she wants. I get so tired of her asking and expecting us to get her everything she see's on TV! Then she acts like she is going to just die if she doesn't get it! I was a little mean and said that the only thing that would kill her if she didn't have was food and water! lol That is how I stumbled upon this idea.

I just went through some magazines and cut out some pictures. Then I had her figure out if it was really something she needs or wants. Of course to her everything was a need!! I told her grown ups still have to work on that too. I told her that Momma didn't really need coffee but it is something I want. She told me, "Uh huh! You need your coffee to wake up in the morning!" Which yes I have told her that but I tried to explain to her that I didn't really NEED it. She still didn't get it until I basically told her I wouldn't die if I didn't have it. Didn't really know how else to explain it because I know some of the stuff we need wouldn't kill us if we didn't have it, like friends or hugs, but they are a def. need.
Here is what I came up with. Sorry I didn't get pictures of her making it. When we find more pictures I will just keep adding to it and also add more paper to make it bigger.

 Needs- Family, hugs/love, friends, clothes, toilet paper =), toothbrush, food, need to find a church and bible too. 

 Wants- she loves makeup already so that is under wants, TV, toys and movies.  Will be adding more when we find some.  Didn't have magazines with a lot of the stuff she wants in them.
