I have a friend that ordered some owls from me.  She even went as far as to buy the yarn she wanted and sent it to me too!!

This is what I found on the door step a few weeks ago!  I was so happy!!!

I finally got a chance to work on them after I got the yarn and I got them finished last week!  She came up with a cute idea on making the wings and little ears the same color as her birthstone and her siblings birthstones.  I just thought that was an awesome idea!!

I thought it was just too cute and had to try it!  It was really simple to make but did take a a bit of time to sew all the leaves on.
The pattern is from this awesome book by Ana Paula Rimoli called Amigurumi Toy Box.  I have one of her books and just love it and need to get some more!
I put a little red felt heart with my hubby and my initials on it.  I didn’t do too well embroidering it though.  lol
I highly recommend, if you crochet, to check out any of her books!  So much fun and so many cute things!!

I finally decided I needed to start making some stuff that boys would like too so I saw this cute little pattern and just had to try it out.  He turned out pretty cute!  Of course now Maddie wants one too but she has enough!

Gold Horn the Unicorn

We are getting ready to go to North Carolina for our vacation. (driving from OK to NC… should be fun!) I am so excited and so is Mad!  Not really sure who is more excited!! 

Mad wanted a unicorn to take so I hurried up and made one so she could take it with her.  I am going to try to take pictures of it everywhere we go.  Kinda like ‘Gold Horn's’ vacation pictures..

A friend of mine that works at our library ordered a couple Amigurumi books for me.  She is a frog lover and they had these cute keychains in one of them.  As a thank you I made her this cute little frog keychain.  The hook was so small though and a little hard for me to do since I am not used to such a small hook but it turned out alright.

The other day I ordered some yarn on Etsy.  It was some mohair yarn that I have been wanting to try.  I haven’t ever used it before and it is so nice and soft!  I love it!!

The main reason I got it is because I have been wanting to try some of the brushed Amigurumi that I keep seeing out there.  This was my first time doing it and I wasn’t sure how it would come out.  Mad really likes it though!!  I just made up my own pattern, hopefully I will post the pattern later, nothing out of the ordinary though.

A friend of mine asked me last week if I could make robots.  I haven’t ever done them before so I hunted up a few patterns and let her pick out which one.  I should have paid better attention to the pattern because the one she liked the best (and I thought was real cute too) the pattern wasn’t written very well.  I did my best with it and just kinda went with what I am used to doing. 

I think that they still turned out alright.  Maddie really liked them and of course now she wants one!  She has so many toys I really hate to make her anything else.  Hmmm… maybe that’s a way to get rid of some of her old stuff, want something new?, then throw something away or give it away!!

They actually turned out better than I thought they would!  lol  My friend was very happy with them so that’s all that matters!

but I just can’t pronounce it!! 

I’ve been making a lot of little critters lately and try to make one everyday.  Of course Mad helps out by picking the pattern and the name for them.    I’ve even sold a few and have some orders for more!  Would love to put some on Etsy but right now I have enough orders to deal with (not complaining about that at all!  Thanks to all that have ordered!) and need to get a decent supply of animals going too.

I love to crochet but every time I start crocheting for a while I get a ganglion cyst on my wrist.  Sometimes it hurts, sometimes it doesn’t.  It just gets bigger until I stop but right now I can’t stop!  Plus I keep finding new things I want to make!!

Still been doing a lot of Amigurumi lately.  They are just so addictive!!!  I have made quite a few and have actually sold some too.  Mad is getting a decent collection!  I need to get some more brown yarn so I can make a cute little hedgehog now!
