Why I love my husband

Pin It Today I just thought I would share a few reasons why I love my husband Shane.  Nothing big just some simple reasons he means so much to me!!


 


I love my husband because, he loves me!  He loves me, even with all my faults!


I love my husband because, he is an amazing father.


I love my husband because, he is so smart!  His memory is amazing, and he just knows so much!!


I love my husband because, he works hard at his job.  He knows how to do his job and do it well.


I love my husband because, he is so handsome!


I love my husband because, he has a great sense of humor.


I love my husband because, he doesn’t let me get away with things!


I love my husband because, he helps out his friends when they need it.


I love my husband because, before coming to bed he puts down the toilet seat so if Maddie or I get up in the middle of the night we won’t fall in.  lol





I love my husband because he knows how to make me laugh.


I love my husband because he is a strong man but yet can be so gentle.


I love my husband because we have been through so much, he is always there when I need him the most! 


I love my husband because I can talk to him about anything.


I love my husband because, we have our own secret language that others just don’t understand.


I love my husband because he is faithful and trusting and honest!


I love my husband just because…. because he is my best friend and because he is mine and I am his!!

Yesterday, May 16th, was our 13 year anniversary.  I can’t believe it!!  Some days it seems like only yesterday we got married and then other days it seems a lot longer.

We started dating around 1996 and then in 1998 we got married.  Everyone says we look like such babies, and I guess we were.  We were 22 years old when we got married.  If you think about it, in the old days we would have been considered old at that age. 

We have been through a lot and most of it has been good.  If you know that your marriage is worth it, then you have to stand and fight for it.  You have to work at making it something special, to make sure you appreciate each other and let the other one know that you do.  (as my hubby says, “I’m not a mind reader”)

Sometimes things can get a little old, like you’re roommates, so you need to work on focusing on each other again, not the daily stuff, although that is important, but so is your spouse.  Your children are also important but they also need to learn that as parents, we need to spend time with each other without the children.  When they get older they will remember that and hopefully apply that to their relationships as well.  Children are very important but when you focus on them and hardly ever on your spouse then that is not a good thing either.

Anyways… this post didn’t go as planned… lol 

Just wanted to say that we were married 13 years ago and that I am so happy I married my best friend!  It is so nice to find that perfect someone to annoy for the rest of your life!!

12 Years!

Today is our twelve year anniversary!  I can't believe it has already been twelve years!  It hasn't always been the easiest but when you love someone you do your best to make things work out and hope that it will get better. I couldn't imagine my life without him.  We have been through a lot together and through it all we managed to bring a very special and beautiful little girl into our world.  She is the best thing that has happened to us!

This is my favorite of our wedding pics.  Love the way he is looking at me!  Although he said he was just seeing if he was taller than me.  lol
