A few weeks ago we were in tank tops and shorts, last week we had to relight the pilot and turn the heater back on.  Maddie loves being outside and hunting bugs.  I saved an old peanut jar we had and let her use that and she runs around collecting all sorts of insects.  Here’s a little caterpillar and just some other pictures of her playing and some of our yard and trees.  I just love it when the leaves start coming back and everything is so green!

Then again every day we don’t have to go somewhere is a PJ day!  What?  We’re supposed to get dressed for the day?  Nah… this is so much more fun!

So.. Maddie loves to play outside and do karate…

check out a ‘ginormous’ moth laying eggs….

 

 

and just be silly!  You know, just be Maddie!

 

Our new neighbors

Well they are kind of like neighbors….

We have lived here for almost 7 years now.  I love our location!  Even though we are in town, we live on a dead end road and on the other side is a ravine.  We have had deer, wild turkey, of course opossums, raccoons, armadillos, skunks and we had some red foxes too.  Now we have these new ones come up, I looked them up and they are grey fox. 

I wish I could find the photos of all these animals, but that has been about 2 laptops ago so I am not sure where they are and I don’t really want to go searching on the external hard drive for them either… yep, I’m lazy like that!

Here’s the pics of the grey foxes though.  Not the best pictures, it was starting to get dark out.  They are eating the cats food!

It’s that time of year

Every spring/summer time Maddie loves to go snail hunting.  She will find as many as she can and collects all sorts of shells.  She found one so far but it was only the shell.  I am sure she will find more once it gets a little warmer out. 

Mad loves to be outside hunting bugs, chasing dragonflies and butterflies and birds.  Here’s one of our blue birds, just wish I could have gotten a closer shot…

The weather here has started getting a lot warmer and for the past couple days it has been in the 80’s!  We had LG (our hamster) in his and took him outside for some fresh air.  Man did he want out!  He was ready to take off!!

He was going nuts so we let him run around in her wagon for a bit until he almost escaped then it was back into his ball.  We keep forgetting to get a new one but really need to since the old one is getting so chewed up we have to take the lid shut!
